Clothing and Islam

 Clothing and Islam

Modest clothing symbolizes the dignity of a person with modesty, sophistication, politeness, and a tasteful personality. The clothes of rude, uncouth, wild and wild people are indecent and grotesque. Uncivilized clothing adds to his ugliness. Along with the creation of man, Allah has also given him beautiful and tasteful clothes.

"O, Bani Adam! We have sent down clothing for you to cover the private parts of your body and to preserve and beautify your body. And the garment of piety is best. This is one of the signs of Allah, perhaps people will learn from it. O, Bani Adam! May Satan not cast you again into confusion as he cast your parents out of Paradise and stripped them of their nakedness to reveal their shame to one another.” (Surah Araf: 26-27)

Man is a moral being. An animal without morals is called an animal. Allah Ta'ala has given a sense of shame to humans, but not to animals. People place their genitals at the top of shame. By nature, one feels shy to expose these special parts of the body in front of others. As a result, people make arrangements to cover it. In Arabic, the place of shame is called 'Awrat'. Aurat of men is from the navel to below the knee. And women's whole body is included in 'Awrat'. For this reason, women are called Aurat in Arabic. That is, the whole body of a woman is a place of shame.

The basic rules of clothing in Islam are: First of all, this place of shame must be covered. Second: Clothing preserves, beautifies, or beautifies his body. Third: This dress should be a dress of piety. That is. Along with Satar Dhaka, it should not become too much pride and arrogance in the practice of beauty. Again without creating obstacles in the way of developing decency and dignity. Dressing in piety also means that men should not dress feminine and women should not dress or act masculine. One nation shall not make itself like another nation. Rasulullah Sallallahu 'alaihi wasallam said, "Whoever accepts the similitude of the sect, he will be considered as one of them." Clothing should not be demeaning to the person's dignity. For example, Rasulullah Sallallahu 'alaihi wasallam said: "Allah loves to see the signs of His blessings on His servants." (i.e. Allah likes to dress according to what He has been blessed with) (Tirmidhi Abwabul Adab)

Allah Ta'ala says: “O Bani Adam! At the time of every Ibadah you should be dressed in your best clothes.” (Surah A'raf: 31) In the mentioned verse, "Adorn yourselves with beautiful clothes" is talking about full clothes. It is not enough to cover the private parts while standing in the worship of Allah. Rather, at the same time, according to the ability, one should wear full clothes, which are modest and elegant. Through which beauty will be revealed along with shame. It is also protested against what the ignorant people of the foolish age of Arabia did in the matter of worship based on their wrong principles. They thought that Allah should be worshiped naked or half-naked and by disfiguring themselves. Allah says you should dress yourself in beautiful clothes and worship in such a way that there is not even a trace of obscenity, let alone obscenity. Again this dress will not be an arrogant dress. Rather it will be your clothes. Allah Ta'ala says: O Prophet! Tell your wives, your daughters, and the women of the believers to draw the ends of their cloaks over themselves. This is the more convenient method. So that it is easy for them to know and not to suffer, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful. (Surah Ahzaab: 59)

First of all, we need to remember well that our eternal and arch enemy, the devil, cheated and first saved the way to break the moral backbone of people through shameless slander. So he encouraged the first great human being Hazrat Adam (AS) and his wife Hazrat Hawa (AS) to eat the fruit of the tree in order to uncover it. Allah Ta'ala says: Then Shaytaan 9 bade them expose before them their private parts, which were kept secret from each other. (Surah A'raf: 20) "By deceiving them (Satan) he (Satan) gradually brought them both to his way.

When they finally tasted the fruit of that tree, their private parts were exposed to each other and they began to cover their bodies with the leaves of paradise. Then their Lord called them and said: "Did I not forbid you to approach this tree and tell you that Satan is your open enemy." (Surah A'raf: 22)

Indeed, shame or shame is a feeling without which there is no rationality between humans and animals. There is no way to draw a line of difference. Dogs perform their sexual acts in front of hundreds of people on the street. Because they have no sense of shame. On the other hand, people today can be naked in front of millions of people, so on the one hand, there is competition to make films with such naked clothes and sexual gestures. In Al-Qur'an terms, this is a clear satanic act. With the fuel of Satan, Muslims and non-Muslims of the world have become involved in the apocalyptic game of making and wearing such obscene clothes. The breaking of the foreheads of Muslims has started since the day Muslims started wearing satanic clothes except for the Tawa mentioned in the Quran. Lawlessness, disorder and adultery, and the evil wounds of women's abuse and deprivation poison society today. What is the reason for the unpleasant and unexpected events related to women in daily newspapers?

Why are women being abused, deprived, and humiliated in the world today? To get the correct answer, women should go back to the mentioned verses of the Holy Quran. Almost all thinkers including medical scientists, social scientists, and intellectuals from all over the world have realized one thing very well and have come to the conclusion that in order to escape from the deadly disease AIDS, one must "obey religious teachings" or "live a religious life". They cited promiscuity, promiscuity, promiscuity, and perverted sexual behavior as the main causes of AIDS. And the result is sure death. Happily, everyone in the world has realized a reality. But the sad thing is: that they could not find any beneficial way to solve it by mentioning the reason behind it.

I would like to trace this path in the light of the guidance of verse 31 of Surah Noor that women should not reveal their adornment to anyone except such and such men and women. "And shall not tread upon the earth, lest men should know the beauty which they have hidden."

Verse 59 of Surah Ahzab states that "so that they may be known easily and not be afflicted." In the interpretation of this phrase, the scholars of various tafsirs have said that "Girls obey the instructions mentioned in the Qur'an, but no adulteress dares to molest them." (Jameul Bayan, Ibn Jarir Tabari)

“When the girls leave the house, they should reveal that they have completed satar and purity. As a result, people of questionable character and actions will not fall prey to any kind of greed and lust after seeing them.” (Ahkamul Qur'an, Allama Abu Bakr Jasas) "The purpose of this is for people to know that they are not prostitutes. Because a girl who covers her face, while her face is not part of satar, no one can expect her to be willing to open her satar in front of others. In this way, every person will know that the girl is veiled and cannot be expected to engage in fornication.” (Tafseer Kabir, Imam Razi)

“Seeing them arrayed in such immodest shameless garments, every onlooker would know that they were chaste girls of noble and noble families, from whom no immoral man could hope to fulfill his desires. As a result, they will not be harassed and teased. (Syed Abul A'la Mawdudi)

The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) built such a golden society in the light of the Qur'an. Because of which the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said clearly and very meaningfully: "You will see from Hazra Maut to San'a a beautiful woman of full age, dressed in precious ornaments, walking alone day and night, no one will even look back at her." Indeed such a society was established. Al-Quran was its main tool. We also have to come to the mentioned verses of the Al Quran to maintain a healthy society.
